Haven't received code by text while activating SIM

I'm trying to activate my SIM. They said they texted a code, but my SIM card is not active yet to receive the message. Please help

Hi, my sim not port to old number, its been a day, instead I’m given a new number

I just activated my card, I have the internet, I'm unable to make calls, it shows emergency calls right away, after I drop the call everything goes back to normal
