Roaming Charges

Can anyone help me out? I recently sent a few texts to a UK phone number, and was charged 50c per text, instead of the roaming rate of 7c for the UK. Does anyone know why this is, and if I can get it back?

It costs 25c to send an SMS message to a UK number.

http://www.48months.ie/membership-plans/international-calls

A single SMS message can contain 140 characters (or fewer if "extended" characters are used).

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Short_Message_Service#Message_size

Long messages can use more than one SMS.

For example a 200 character text to a UK number would use two SMS messages so would cost 50c.

The cost of sending a text while roaming abroad (7c) is irrelevant here if you are still in Ireland:

Hope this helps.

Thanks for your help, hadn't seen the international charges page. I'll go have a look now. Thanks again!
