Sim not working

I recently changed my sim from an old iphone 4 is was using into a xiaomi redmi pro and the sim went from working perfectly to now only receiving calls and text and not allowing me to make them or to use 3g. My subscription to the Don package is still valid and in date. The sim name comes up as Tesco Mobile too, i'm not sure if that's relevant. Any ideas on how to solve this issue?

If you are receiving texts and calls but cannot make calls or send texts then that's very odd.

You probably need to contact 48 support about that:

For internet access you need to configure your internet/APN settings:

Some phones don't always detect virtual networks correctly so it's not unusual to see 48 detected as Tesco but it shouldn't impact anything as long as the internet/APN settings entered are the correct ones for 48 and not those for Tesco.

 

As it happens I actually use a Xiaomi myself (RedMi Note 3 Pro) and have no problems.
