You can order a replacement SIM for your existing account/number here:

http://48months.ie/help/losthandset

However this will immediately disable your existing SIM until you get the new one. If that does not suit then order a new SIM here:

https://48months.ie/free-sim

and when you get it DON'T register/activate it but log a support request:

http://48months.ie/help/ask-agent

asking 48 to transfer your existing number/account to the new SIM.

Hope this helps.

Hi

The system of ordering a replacement sim (for a lost stolen handset) & a new sim (for any other reason) is a bit confusing for anyone going through that process.

If you have order a new free sim for your iphone, brilliant - that's what you want.

If you order a replacement... things get a bit fiddilly.

The system behind ordering a replacement sim is to block the original sim, as its either lost/stolen.

However, it appears that you have ordered a new sim, you need to activate the sim, & its then up to you if you want the new number or, the number you are currently using on 48, the agents can switch the new sim to your account, & that's all there is to it.

See below:

There is no need to say the sim you had was lost stolen.

I hope this answers your query adequately.

🙂

Lastly how could I get in touch with 48 agents.? how long would ih take? And would 48 agents be available on Christmas Eve when I get the new phone?

See here how you get in contact with support, the normal support periods and response times:

I'm not sure what the support coverage is like for Xmas (Eve/day etc.).

Hope this helps.
