I recently switched and unlike my old SIM I have to enter the PIN code for the new SIM every time the phone turns on (I turn it off every night). How do I disable this feature?

New SIMs come with SIM PIN locking enabled by default.

You can disable SIM PIN locking if you don't want it enabled.

See here for example or check the documentation for your specific phone as the specific steps may differ to these:

Android: https://www.digitalcitizen.life/how-change-or-remove-sim-pin-android-2-steps

iPhone: https://support.apple.com/en-ie/HT201529

Hope this helps.
