[Resolved] Problem with outgoing calls, 27th September 2013

I have to apologise for this.  We are having a bit of a problem at the minute meaning outoging calls will be unavailable right now..

 

We have people working hard on this as we speak and hope to have better news for you soon. 

 

I can’t give an exact time but we usually get these types of things fixed within a few hours.

 

Hang in there and we really hope this will be all sorted soon. 

  

If your urgently need to contact someone who is not on 48 then you can send them a "Call Me" message.  Just text your friend's number to 50148 (free of charge).

 

Your friend will then receive a “hey, call me” message from your phone.

 

The text will appear from your mobile number, not 50148, so they’ll know if is from you.

27/09/13: 18:45 - We are still working on this.  We have the engineers on site who are troubleshooting and are hopeful of a resolution soon.  I will have a further update shortly after 7pm.

 

27/09/13: 19:25 - Sorry no good news yet.  We will have a further update shortly after 8pm.

 

27/09/13: 20:07 - We have made a bit of progress.  People have been reporting that calls are working intermittently now.  So one in 5 or 6 tries will work.  We still have engineers on site and expect good news shortly.  We will have a further update shortly after 8.30pm.

 

27/09/13: 20:45 Sorry for the wait but we have some good news at last.  Calls and texts are back up and running again.  Check it out and if you have any problems contact the care crew.

Hi guys,

Same here, I couldn't make a single call last Friday and now again today. It's gone beyond a joke now, they seriously need to get their act together. I rely on this phone for college and my upcoming placement. I only registered at the end of August and this is the 2nd time within a week.

Do they realise how incredibly frustrating it is for customers. Man Mad

Hello I am unable to make calls. I can receive calls and send and receive text message. I made a call an hour ago and it worked. Are you having the issues as last week?

48 should extend our Deals by a month free of charge as a apologies for this problems!!!

Is any1 else still without service ? i restarted my phone&still nothing since yesterday evening. really gettin annoyed&considering changin networks if it isnt sorted soon

Not sure it's d same problem but would say it is 😕 haven't been able to make out going calls or texts n my internet not working da past 2 days tried everything from restarting phone checking sim in anoler phone nothin workin... Jus wondering cud yous help me out ??

Any chance you breached the  fair usage limits and got barred for the remainder of your current monthly membership? If so you have to wait it out and when the membership expires contact 48 support and ask them to lift the ban. If you get barred you should get some sort of warning - e.g. by email or via your online account. If you get barred for a second time it's for good.

Cant hear other person when i make a call either can the other person then tells me i cant make a call i have paid my guido deal .please fix problem

What does your online account say about your membership status, expiry date and bundled allowances (landline/mobile calls, texts, data) and cash credit balance?

Any chance you breached the fair usage limits and got barred (see above)?
