I am out in Dubai for a few days and I have no service, the carrier option is not in settings, any ideas

You just need a Guido membership. Nothing more.

If you have available iPhone then you may have the issue mentioned here.

Some people find that data does not work straight off and need to check their internet settings and if the APN field has changed edit it to set it back to 48months.liffeytelecom.com, switch airplane mode on and then off, then try again and it should work.

48 don't support roaming in Dubai/UAE.

No. 48 only support roaming in EU/Europe, North America and Oceania.

Going to Spain this week.What is procedure for connecting to local providers? Do I need to have credit topped up?
