Hey I bought membership for €20 this gives me unlimited calls/texts and 5gb of data- why do I need credit as well?

You only need credit if you use services that are not covered by your memberhsip allowances and are charged from your credit balance - e.g.:

 

Other call charges

 

Or if you want to top up to pay for membership or add-ons.
