Can somebody help me. I'm abroad and ever since i've updated my carrier settings my phone service has stopped working, it gains full bars, then one and then says 'searching' or 'no service'. I've tried turning it off and back on, taking the sim out, resetting the data settings but nothing has worked. can anybody help?

Where are you?

Remember that roaming only works in the EU/rest of Europe, North America and Oceania.

Hope this helps.

Im in Spain, my service was working fine when i first arrived but ever since I updated my carrier settings it won't work

What do you mean you updated your carrier settings? What settings exactly?

Do you have a current membership?

Do you have cash credit or EU roaming add-ons?

Have you tried manually scanning for and connecting to different networks in case some work and some don't?

You might need to log a support query and ask 48 support for assistance:

As above - was your iPhone ever jailbroken?

What exactly doesn't work?
Any error messages?
No signal at all?
Or you get a signal but can't make/receive calls or send/received texts?
Have you tried syncing with iTunes to see if that helps?
Maybe it required reactivation on the 48 network? If so then iTunes will need to send a UK SMS which will cost 25c charged from your credit balance.
If none of this helps the you probably need to contact 48 support for assistance...

What I have on my iphone is either ''no service'' or ''searching''. When I'm trying to select network manually, I am unable to do so because it says ''unable to load network list''. I have no idea what to do and I am not an apple specialist. I don't know how to fix it using itunes and I don't know how to remove my sim card without the remover tool.  Please help. I'm waiting so long for 48 team response;/

It may need reactivation on the 48 network if something like settings were changed or iOS updated.

Just to clarify - iPhones seems to have a list of recognized networks but some networks (e.g. virtual networks such as 48) may not be in this list. So to get the iPhone to work it needs to be activated by syncing with iTunes and this may send a UK SMS which costs 25c from your credit balance so you need some cash credit on your account.

Try this and see if it helps.

If that doesn't help then maybe somebody with more current knowledge about iPhones than I have can comment or you will have to wait for 48 support to get back to you.

If you Google the errors that you get you will find information from people with similar problems but offhand I can't see any catch all fix.

Do you know if your iPhone was unlocked officially or was jailbroken?

Hope this helps.
