no service on my iphone i just moved to 48. when i go to settings and and go to carrier i have to take it off automatic to find 48 and when i select 48 it says "restricted network your selected mobile network is restricted" help?

Is it an iPhone?

Is it unlocked?

If not then you need to get it unlocked.

If it is unlocked then you may need to sync with iTunes to get it activated on the 48 network.

You will need to have a small amount of cash credit (e.g. €1) on your account before doing this as it may need to send a UK SMS text (which is not covered by membership bundled allowances and costs 25c charged from your cash credit balance).
