What's required to call northern Ireland mobiles? Can you use EU roaming add on?

You need cash credit to pay for them as they are considered international mobile calls so cost 50c per minute (and 25c per SMS when texting).

See here:

You need to call them using 00 44 prefixes for international calls to the UK.

Note that NI landlines can be called using the 048 prefix and treated as national landline calls and thus covered by your membership/add-on landline minutes allowances.

However this prefix only works for landlines and not mobiles.

EU roaming add-ons are only for use when YOU are abroad roaming in the EU and not for making calls to EU destinations when you are still in Ireland.

Hope this helps.
