SPAM ? "Freemsg ?

Hi all,

Today while in a txt conversation with a fgf by Viber, I received a text message SMS from her saying the following:

"Freemsg. You have (1) important message, reply SEE to see me! "

But she did NOT send it ... or any message to me. She only contacts me via Viber.

Anyone know what this is ?

PS: She also got one of these today from me and she tell me a friend in Limerick got one also this week.

Did it appear to come from her number or from a premium text number (5 digit shortcode)?

If it came from a premium text number you may be able to look it up here:

If you Google that exact message you see a few other reports of it so you are not alone.

If it was an SMS then presumably it was nothing to do with Viber which is not SMS based?

I would suggest just ignoring it, definitely not replying to it and deleting it.
