problem unlocking nokia lumia 610

Hi I really hope someone can help, have had no phone for 3 days.  I unlocked phone from Vodafone last Friday, and registered 48 sim on Monday morning and paid membership.   According to 48 my sim is activated. But I have no service.  Even when I put my vodafone sim back in I have no service.  I have tried another vodafone sim, and that worked on my phone.

I rang Vodafone and they tried to help by giving me a code which consists of #PW+CODE+1# but I cannot key in the letters into my phone.  I called into a vodafone shop and no help given there.

Any help would be appreciated.

thanks in advance

If the phone is not unlocked then it's really Vodafone who need to help you get it unlocked if you are doing this through the offical route. I don't know if this video is of any use? Looks like the unlock code should be all digits:

Hope this helps.

I am not a 48 employee - if you need to contact 48 support you can do so by chat, email (support@48months.zendesk.com) or phone.

Just came across these today. Any use?

Hi Dalyer

thanks for reply unfortunately no joy.  I got that code from vodafone customer service ##782# but nothing happened when I put it in.

The other forum gives a code with PW but I cannot key in letters on this phone (even if you press * quickly).

Am very frustrated at this stage as have had no phone since Monday!

OK - sorry - I don't understand.

If you can't find anything else useful online then you probably need to go back to Vodafone to get assistance from them in unlocking the handset from their network.

Hope this helps.
